Managing Conflict in Projects - Day #3

Bismillah..

Now come to the last part of the training story :)

First of all nak tepek gamba ngan Mr. Kevin taken at the end of the session. Takde sesape pun berminat nak bergamba ngan dia, tapi bila saya dah start request, tetibe ramai pulak nak bergamba jugak..hehe..

Nampak tak muka eksaited dapat certificate tu? Tak sangka plak dapat cert sebenarnya..hehe.. Alhamdulillah :)

Secara ringkas siapa Mr. Kevin ni,

• 46 years old, married with 3 childrens
• His first - son, 22 years old, married with a twin (boy)! [Muda kot anak dia ni kawen..perghh..]
• His second - daughter, 5 years old
• His youngest children, boy - 14 months![Cucu kembar dia umur lebih kurang sama je ngan anak dia yang last. Kecik-kecik lagi dah ada anak buah..what a special family..]
• He is sponsoring about 17 kids, give them proper place to stay, give them education. One of the kids is a boy who's his mother died because of AIDS and have nothing left for him; alone. The boy don't know how to speak English. Mr. Kevin took the boy, learn English, then go to a private school. Now, the boy can speak better English than Mr. Kevin's family. Great story rite?

It's been a great day for the last session of the training. I really enjoy the session from morning till the end. Hari ke-3 lebih banyak exercises yang best-best belaka. Salah satunya exercise 'Johari Window'. OK, in Malay we call it 'Tingkap Johari'.

Dulu masa degree waktu join program PEERs dah pernah buat dah exercise ni dengan Puan Rokiah. Dulu mati-mati ingat Tingkap Johari ni orang Melayu yang invent sebab Puan Rokiah pernah cakap nama Johari tu diambil daripada nama orang, so assume Encik Johari la kot yang invent.. Rupa-rupanya sangkaanku salah belaka! The Johari Window is actually acronym from 2 names; Joseph Luft and Harry Ingham! Ish..ish..ish..kesian kan? Sape suruh tak kaji? Sesedap je main assume..

My Johari Window is look like this:

Mr. Kevin told me that I am a very brave person, a very strong person, a very strong character reside within me; hidden potential. If he want to do a project which require him to recruit only brave person, he said that he will choose me! Wow, am I that kind of person? Allah knows the best. I believe that every person has his/her special character reside within, its just that not everyone knows how to unlock the potential! I am in the process to unlock my potentials sejak dah banyak kali masuk kelas Dr. Azizan :)

Game Board exercise..a very good technique that can be applied in resolving conflict.

Ni situasi bila Project Manager tak function. Habis berselirat tali bila communication being channeled in wrong way..

Suka gila tengok cert ni sebab nama saya ditaip dengan betul & besar lagi! Memang nampak jelas terang lagi bersuluh..awesome!

Overall, memang puas hati la attend training ni. Bukan seronok je, tapi beronok-ronok! hehe.. Nanti bila-bila kalau pi South Africa, nak cari umah Mr. Kevin ni, buat visit..hihi..

p/s: Banyak mende nak share, tapi kesuntukan  masa nak menaip panjang-panjang..till we meet again..
