Managing Conflict in Projects - Day #2

Bismillah..

Hari ni training agak berat sebab belajar pasal project life cycle dan apa kaitannya dengan managing conflict, tapi best sebab ada sesi Personality Profiling. Dah lama rasa tak buat benda-benda macam ni, eksaited je rasa masa jawab 80 soalan..hehe..

Lepas jawab 80 soalan tu, kena buat analysis of score, and my score is look like this:

Ok, meh sini nak kongsi sikit apa yang saya dapat daripada kelas hari ni.

There are 4 styles of people:
  1. Enthusiasts
  2. Considerate
  3. Decisive
  4. Scholars
Apa ciri-ciri yang ada pada 4 jenis stail manusia ni? Meh baca..

Enthusiasts
  • Speak fast, loud and with more inflection. Make more statements
  • Ask more questions
  • Focus on opinions and stories
  • Try to take over as soon as they arrive
  • Talk to as many people as possible
  • Sit where they are the centre of attention
  • What gets them upset:
    • Avoiding or rejecting them
    • Denying their acceptance or friendship
    • Being negative of their ideas
    • Isolation
Considerate
  • Speak slowly and softly with more inflection
  • Make few statements
  • Ask few questions
  • Focus on opinions and stories
  • Arrive on time and quietly take a seat
  • Initially don't speak unless spoken to
  • What gets them upset :
    • Overlooking or confusing them
    • Sudden unplanned and risky changes
    • Competition rather than co-operation
    • Conflict situations
Decisive
  • Speak fast and loud with more inflection
  • Make statements
  • Ask few questions
  • Focus on facts and tasks
  • Arrive dead on time and sit in a prominent position
  • Want to get to business immediately
  • What gets them upset:
    • Telling them what to do
    • Attack their character
    • Situations where they may lose
    • Inaction
Scholars
  • Speak slowly and softly with less inflection
  • Make few statements
  • Ask few questions
  • Focus on facts and tasks
  • Arrive early and sit in an inconspicuous place
  • Avoid eye contact and idle chatter
  • What gets them upset:
    • Criticizing their efforts or ideas
    • Asking personal or blunt questions
    • Incomplete or inaccurate information
    • Expecting them to get emotionally or personally involved
Ni masa sesi 'Negotiation/Body Language'. Diberi satu situasi dan berdebat (of course in English) the reason why you choose your answer. Trainer jadi judge - yang duduk kanan sekali tu, Mr. Kevin from South Africa.

Nanti saya akan bagi 80 soalan yang perlu dijawab dan macam mana nak buat analysis of score, then how to come up with your personality diagram :) Kalau nak lah..kalau tak nak, takpe..ade ku kisah??? haha
